David Morris is CEO of the Australia China Business Council (Tasmania) and director of several companies and NGOs promoting trade, investment and inter-cultural understanding. He is also a Senior Research Fellow with Beijing Foreign Studies University. Previously, he was working as a diplomat, among other postings, he served in Beijing, representing the international organisation of Oceania.

David Morris is President and Executive Director of 1EarthVillage, a new platform for international connectivity and cross-cultural understanding. He is a distinguished former Australian and multilateral diplomat and senior adviser to governments, businesses, universities and international organizations.

He is Vice-Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Business Network for Asia Pacific, which advises the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and advocates for business leadership in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

David is a Senior Research Fellow, Beijing Foreign Studies University; Research Fellow, Corvinus University of Budapest and Liaocheng University.

David is an international expert on globalization and interdependence with China, from a career fostering business and cultural cooperation, PhD and other research. He is editing a forthcoming Routledge Handbook on the New Era of Risk. David is a regular guest lecturer and opinion writer in Asia-Pacific and Europe. He is a regular leadership dialogue convenor and participant.

David is also building cross-cultural exchange projects as Vice President, Eurasian Cultural Exchange Association; Vice Chair, Earth Care Culture Association and Chair, Earthcare Culture Festival.

He is Senior Expert for China, East Asia, Australia and the Pacific with LM Prisk Political Risk & Strategic Advisory; Special Adviser, Sustainable Development, for Trans Pacific Advisory; independent non-executive director of AustChina Holdings Limited; and a member of the international advisory boards of the Intelligent Leadership Hub, World Green Organization and Institute for Cultural Relations Policy.
